There are several Provincial Parks in Northwest Ontario. The campgrounds range from drive-in, easily accessible to remote wilderness parks where you may not see anyone for days! The one thing in common is that 

Rushing River Park is one of the busiest parks in the area and is located about 2.5 from Winnipeg. The park is a great family camping destination which has beaches, playgrounds, interpretive programs, hiking trails and many opportunities for exploring. Sioux Narrows Park is a quiet, beautiful park and is the only park on Lake of the Woods. Caliper Lake Park in Nestor Falls hosts the annual Moose n' Fiddle Music Festival. 

Blue Lake Park near Vermilion Bay is on a beautiful clear lake with a long beach. Aaron Lake Park is conveniently located on the Trans-Canada if you are heading across Canada. Pakwash Park is awesome is you're looking for some great walleye fishing. If you like to go bass fishing, Ojibway Park is the place to be. Sandbar Lake Park near Ignace has a gently sloping swim area and beautiful beach that is great for a family vacation. See the second highest waterfall at Kakabeka Falls Park near Thunder Bay.

The three largest wilderness parks are Quetico, Wabakimi, and Woodland Caribou. Canoe outfitters near these parks can help you plan a canoe trip into these areas.
