Sandbar Lake Park is located just off the Highway 599 not too far north of Ignace and the Trans-Canada Highway. The park has a beautiful sand beach with a gentle sloping beach. The park is a gateway to some challenging northern canoe routes.

Hiking Trails in Sandbar Park

Silhouette Trail is 1.5 km (1 hour) with moderate terrain. -  This trail weaves through jack pine woods, aspen forests, and wetlands. A short side trail (0.7 km) leads to Savitsky Lake.
