Frank Charry Park is a charming neighborhood park nestled off Pacific Avenue, bordered by McBain and Hargrave Streets. Spanning approximately 3.4 acres, this inviting green space has been a cherished part of the community since its acquisition in 1947, originally named East End Park before being dedicated as Frank Charry Park in 1975. The park boasts a variety of features that cater to both recreational activities and leisurely family outings. During the winter months, visitors can enjoy a well-maintained ice rink, perfect for skating and winter fun. A rustic wooden storage house adds character to the park's scenery. Families with young children will find a delightful playground equipped with two sets of swings, a cheerful see-saw, an exhilarating slide, and a refreshing wading pool for warm days. For sports enthusiasts, the park includes a turf and asphalt basketball court, ideal for pickup games, as well as a baseball diamond complete with a sturdy backstop, providing ample opportunities for athletic enjoyment. Charleson Recreation Area
Located on the northern side of Atikokan and open seasonal to the public. Charleson Recreation Area offers something exciting for everyone from snowshoeing, snowmobiling horse riding, motor biking on motocross tracks, and endless mountain biking trails for all skills. There are also many events being hosted throughout the year and opportunity for canoeing, fishing at the many lakes in the area.

The Central Community Club offers a brand-new clubhouse, ice rink, volleyball courts, playground and more! It is the perfect place to spend some time enjoying the outdoors no matter the season. The clubs' grounds are also used to host various events throughout the year and are known to be a community gathering spot for many residents of Kenora.
