Dryden & District Museum:
The Dryden & District Museum is located at 15 Van Horne Ave. Various artifacts and theme rooms are displayed. Visit the museum's Facebook page for photos of some of these artifacts. There are over 10,000 artifacts, permanent and rotating displays as well as a research library. The Dryden & District Museum is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of local culture and history in the Dryden area. If you visit the museum, you'll see a majestic whitetail buck that was almost a world record in size. The illegally taken white-tailed buck is believed to be seven or eight years old and does not have an unusually large body but the size of its rack of antlers, with 18 separate points, is close to the world record. A score sheet filled out by a representative of the Foundation for the Recognition of Wildlife according to the official standard for big-game trophies gave the rack a net score of 199, just 14 5/8 points off the world record, which was set by farmer Milo Hansen near Biggar, Sask., in 1992.
