With so many remote northern lakes, Sunset Country has a wide variety of fly-in outposts or lodges to choose from. Board a Canadian Bush Plane and embark on a true wilderness adventure! Imagine flying into a secluded lake with nothing around except you, the wilderness and the fish and wildlife.
Sunset Country covers a vast area of Northwestern Ontario - 60,000 square miles of forest and lakes are awaiting you and your fishing buddies. Your options are almost endless. You can choose from a remote fly-in outpost cabin where often you'll be the only cabin on the lake or if you're looking for something more all-inclusive, try a full-service American Plan Fly-in Lodge.
Fly-in Fishing Trips
Fish for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth or largemouth bass, brook or lake trout, perch or muskie. Depending on what species of fish you are looking for, the outfitters will usually have at least one lake that suits your needs. Walleye and northern pike are on most lakes. Lake trout, muskie, and bass are spread out through the region, although you won't find much bass father north than Sioux Lookout.
For complete privacy on your Canadian fly-in fishing trip, why not rent a remote outpost cabin accessible only by float plane. There it's you, your friends and a lake full of fish - absolutely no neighbours! If you want the remote experience but prefer more refined accommodations and services and perhaps a fishing guide, then you can stay at one of our beautiful American Plan fly-in fishing lodges. Enjoy all the comforts of home right in the middle of Canada's wilderness backcountry!
