Here's some information you may be wondering about Sunset Country in the summer months. Spoiler alert: it's awesome.
CANADA ISN'T ALWAYS COLD!
Summer in Sunset Country can actually reach quite high temperatures. Our average temperatures across the region are 56.7(low)—77.8(high).
Remember, these are average temperatures, and while the low temperature appears very low, it would be considered unusually low temperature anywhere past June 1st.
Our high temperatures can also reach 85 degrees Fahrenheit, which is perfect for being in the water and on the water!
SUMMER ESSENTIALS

- Camera
- Sunglasses
- Baseball caps or sunhat
- Raincoat (helps with a cool breeze at night!)
- Rain pants
- Thermos for drinking water
- Sunscreen
- Sun shirts or layers to keep the sun off you when needed
- Shorts
- Bathing suit
- Non-specific warm weather clothing
- Bug spray, just in case!
THUNDERSTORMS
These fantastic displays of beauty from nature don’t happen regularly in Sunset Country, but they make their presence known when they do.
As always, when the thunder roars, it's best to get indoors or off the water.
You’ll enjoy the show of nature much more when you’re out of harms way!
For regular rain, a rain jacket and pants will keep you fishing!
