There are many service businesses in Kenora to help you with your needs while in Sunset Country. You'll find everything from realtors, air services, insurance agents, accountants, marinas, lawyers, car rentals, design and printing specialists. Kenora also has an airport, post office, hospital, Wellness Centre, library and more.

Kenora Recreational Services

Kenora Recreation and Wellness Centre 
This first-class recreational facility is located at 18 Mike Richards Way. The facilities include:

  • An arena
  • A 25m swimming pool, a leisure pool with a waterslide, a tot pool, a hot tub and sauna
  • A Fitness Centre including a Certified Fitness Consultant on staff, over 30 workout stations, separate stretching and abdominal area, free weights ranging from 1-100lbs and 18 pieces of cardio equipment. The facility is wheelchair accessible
  • A walking & jogging track around the rink
  • Two baseball fields and tennis courts
  • A Skate Park

Public Boat Launches in Kenora 
You can launch a boat behind the Kenora Wellness Centre where Laurenson's Creek meets Lake of the Woods. It is paved and parking is available for your car and trailer. There is also a boat launch onto Lake of the Woods at the end Matheson Street near the Shopper's Drug Mart store. There is no parking for your trailer there. Anicinabe Park near the Kenora Golf Course also has a paved boat launch onto Lake of the Woods. There is lot's of parking for your boat and trailer. Continue down Golf Course Road to the Wauzhusk Onigum First Nation (Rat Portage) and there is a boat launch at the Devil's Gap Marina. Keewatin has public boat launches onto both Lake of the Woods and the Winnipeg River. You can put in onto Lake of the Woods at the Two Bears Marina or near the Keewatin Arena. Both launches are paved and have a place to park your trailer. You can enter the Winnipeg River by taking the first road left after crossing the bridge (going north) to a boat launch that is paved but has limited parking. To enter Longbow Lake, there is a public boat launch on the east side Highway 17E about 10 km from Kenora. It is not paved and there is limited parking.

Marinas in Kenora 
Kenora has numerous marinas as well as marine service and boat storage companies. If you're boating on Lake of the Woods, you can get fuel or stock up on your boating and fishing needs at the Devil's Gap Marina, Northern Harbour, Rockeries Marina, Two Bears Marina or the new Tall Pines Marina on Cameron Bay.

Kenora Health Services

The Lake of the Woods District Hospital 
The Lake of the Woods District Hospital is located at 21 Sylvan Street West and is directly located across from the Kenora Harbourfront. They can be reached at 807-468-9861. The Hospital meets the immediate healthcare needs of residents of the City of Kenora, as well as a large surrounding area, including several First Nations Communities. The healthcare team is made up of a wide range of dedicated, expert individuals who work along with physicians to provide you or your loved one with the best possible treatment. The LWDH is a fully accredited hospital under the national standards of the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation.

Kenora Municipal Services

The City of Kenora run a library and museum. The Lake of the Woods Museum is a major attraction in Kenora and is located at 300 Main Street South. The museum is home to a varied and rich collection of artifacts and local history archives which serve not only as a basis for the permanent exhibits but also for changing thematic displays and special events. The Kenora Public Library is located at 24 Main Street South. There is also the Keewatin Branch Library located at the corner of Ottawa and Main Street in Keewatin. Kenora Transportation

The Kenora Airport Authority 
The Kenora Airport is owned and operated by the Kenora Airport Authority. It has a 5800' Asphalt Runway and a brand new terminal in 2018. The airport position is 49°47´18"N, 094°21´47"W, Elevation 406m (1,332ft). For more information please call 807-548-5377. The major carrier out of the Kenora Airport is Bearskin Airlines. They provide flights into, and out of the Kenora area. To check out flight times, and prices you can either call 807-548-2087 or visit www.bearskinairlines.com. There is also River Air, a float plane service out of Kenora that offers tours, fishing packages and air service to the wilderness outposts and lodges in the area.

Visitor Information Centre

The City of Kenora runs the two Tourist Information Centres in Kenora. One is located in the new Discovery Centre at 931 Lakeview Drive. and one is located downtown Kenora on the Harbourfront.
