The Kenora Salvation Army is part of an International Christian church that assists individuals in need. The food bank operates on regular hours, but you must call ahead to arrange an appointment; the food bank provides access to non-perishable food items for people in emergent situations. They also accept donations of non-perishable food items, clothing, and cash donations.
Kenora Rowing Club
Rabbit Lake is home to the Kenora Rowing Club and is one of Canada’s best rowing venues. This beautiful spring-fed lake that is known as home for this club is 2200 metres long and wide enough to accommodate 7 racing lanes with warm-up and cool-down areas. The Rowing Club has gained a reputation as the “little club that can” for its ability to host national and international regattas, often hosting many events throughout the summer that draw a lot of attention to their little corner of Kenora.
Moncrief Construction Sports Centre
The Moncrief Construction Sports Center features a variety of fitness and recreational facilities as well as many outstanding programs that are sure to keep you fit and connected with the community. The facility includes an aquatic centre housing 3 various size pools, a waterslide, hot tub and sauna, fitness centre, walking track, and arena. The aquatic centre if fully accessible, and open to all ages and swim levels. Looking to stay fit and have fun doing so? Check out the fitness centre and various fitness programs offered weekly. In addition to staying fit and having fun the centre has also developed a variety of fun programs for children of all ages and abilities. Located outside you will find baseball fields, a 14,000 square foot skateboard park, basketball and tennis courts and a boat launch onto Lake of the Woods.

Kenora Nordic Trails
The Kenora Nordic Trails run from 1.4-20 km with a moderate to high terrain, offering a variety of paths to choose from. Trail permits can be bought in the winter. Trail use for hiking in the summer is free. Hiking is not allowed in the winter. After a day of skiing, warm up and have a bite to eat in the chalet. (May experience wet conditions during the rainy season)
