Noden Causeway
The Noden Causeway is a three and a half mile long causeway linking Fort Frances to Atikokan, the Lakehead, and the rest of the countryas part of Highway 11 and offers breathtaking views of Rainy Lake and its many islands and inlets. You can get out about halfway along the causeway on the north side of the road at the Rainy Lake Lookout. Take in the beautiful view or have a picnic at one of the picnic tables..

Mount McKay Scenic Lookout
Mt McKay Scenic Lookout is a Thunder Bay classic! It’s a must-do hike for visitors and Thunder Bay locals alike; drive to the lookout after passing through the toll gate, and park in the gravel parking area on the left before the paved parking lot area begins. The trail to the top starts in this gravel area. Follow the trail around the base of the south face of Mt. McKay. The trail will turn right and take you up the mountain's eastern face. The views of Lake Superior and the city are amazing and cannot be matched. Follow the trail that takes you around the top and return the way you went up. Round-trip: 2 km Difficulty: Moderate
Mount Evergreen Ski & Recreation Area
The Mount Evergreen Ski Club in Kenora has a lot to offer. Operating since 1946, the Club is well run and the hills are well groomed. It has many runs including 5 black diamond runs, a Terrain Park, a tubing hill and even has a Magic Carpet lift for the little ones or beginners. There are over 20 kms of beautiful cross country ski trails that offer both classic and skate skiers the chance to experience the magnificent Canadian Boreal Forest. All trails are groomed for classic skiing and almost 7 km of trails also accommodate skate skiing. The chalet is a great place to warm up, take a break and have a bite to eat. Ski rentals are also available.
Morson Government Dock Boat Launch
The Morson Government Dock Launch offers free parking, a large dock boasting tons of docking space, and a small beach. The launch is located just next to the entrance to Pine Tree Path.
