The Sioux Lookout Golf and Curling Club is a nine hole course noted for its variety, challenge, and beauty. The course has a scenic layout that takes the player through the many varieties of trees on well-manicured fairways and greens. The club dates back to the early sixties when it was designed by its founders. Although the course is not long, it presents a good test for the high and low handicap player from its three sets of tees. Water will come into play on three holes and the bluegrass/ fescue greens roll between 8.5 and 9 on the Stimp meter. The most challenging hole is also the most scenic, the par-three 8th at 181 yards from the back tees. This tee shot is over water to a large undulating green and plays longer than the length on the scorecard as it is uphill and into the prevailing breeze. A well struck long iron or fairway wood is required to find this green. Each summer the club holds the Ojibway Blueberry Open Golf Tournament, with the ladies and men playing on separate weekends.
