North of Emo off Highway 615, you'll reach Off Lake and the Clearwater-Pipestone Chain of Lakes. There are both housekeeping cabins and American Plan lodges on this 11-lake chain. You can fish for walleye, northern pike, muskie, smallmouth bass, and trout. If you take Highway 613 and go north from Devlin, Ontario, you'll reach a few resorts on Rainy Lake and Lake Despair.

Wilderness Outpost Cabins Departing From Emo

Fly into remote wilderness lakes from the Emo area - just 50 miles north of the US/Canada border. Drive to the air bases on Clearwater Lake and fly north to the outpost cabins. The fly-in outposts are set in a virgin wilderness surrounded by hundreds of rivers and lakes, many of which have never been fished before! Outposts range from deluxe to rustic, for small groups to large parties.

Fly to outpost cabins on remote lakes from 30 air miles away to over 200 air miles north of the air base. Fly-in outposts that are fairly close are on Dogfly, Fishtrap, Grant, Highrock, Jones, Kinewan, Otukamamoan (Trout), and Sakwite Lakes. Northern outpost lakes accessed from Emo are lakes such as Coles, Kenoji, Oliver, Slender, Smoothrock and Wabakimi Lakes.

If you don't like to fly, try staying at a remote boat-in outpost camp. You get all the seclusion, without the flying. Boat to outposts on Pipestone, Jackfish, and Ottertail Lakes. If you're planning a fishing trip or a hunting trip, or you just want to spend a week in the wilderness, you won't be disappointed with an outpost rental.
