Frank Charry Park

Frank Charry Park is a charming neighborhood park nestled off Pacific Avenue, bordered by McBain and Hargrave Streets. Spanning approximately 3.4 acres, this inviting green space has been a cherished part of the community since its acquisition in 1947, originally named East End Park before being dedicated as Frank Charry Park in 1975. Oscar's Bay Beach Park

At the end of Frenchman's Rock Road is Oscar's Bay Beach Park. The park offers access to day-use facilities, including a beach, playground, walking trails, shelter, grill, picnic tables, and restrooms.

McIrvine Park

Mcirvine Park is an excpetional greenspace perfect for spending some time in the sun with your favourite people. The park offers a swing set, sand playground, picnic benches and additional green space for recreational activities.

Current River Greenway

The Current River Greenway if one of the largest parks in Thunder Bay and offers a large variety of recreational choices. The park includes Skate Park, children’s playground, soccer fields, 5 baseball diamonds, a football field, and tennis courts. There are also paved walking trails and is home to the Current River Community Center.

Boulevard Lake Park and Trails

Boulevard Lake features a paved 3.2 mile (5.3 km) loop trail that trails around the perimeter of the beautiful lake providing exceptional scenic views. The Lake is in the middle of 650 acres of park area that includes an 18 hole disc golf course, beaches, concession area, mini-putt, paddleboat and canoe rentals, playground equipment, picnic areas and restrooms Leashed dogs allowed.

Atikokan Centennial Museum and Heritage Park

Situated on the winding Atikokan River, the Atikokan Centennial Museum and Heritage Park exhibits the unique history of the area. Featuring local history exhibits, regional rock samples, a 12000 year old Barren Ground Caribou antler found at the bottom of Steep Rock Lake, and the Shevlin-Clarke logging locomotive.

The Lookout Tower

The Lookout Tower in Fort Frances is located on the shore of the beautiful Rainy River and offers scenic views of the river and surrounding areas for those brave enough to climb to the top. Reaching 100 feet tall, the tower was originally a radar and lookout tower before it was moved to the Sorting Gap Marina in 2009. The tower also features a close by play structure for children as well as ice cream at the marina.

Hannam Park

Hannam Park located on the shores of Rainy River offers access to washrooms/change rooms, a playground, swings, sheltered sandboxes, and a splash pool. Located nearby is a boat launch and The River Trails!

Canada Games Complex

The Canada Games Complex features a 77-meter pool with a slide and diving tower, saunas & whirlpools, a weight room with three multi-training areas, a jogging track, 4 squash courts, specialty programming, change rooms, babysitting facilities and wheelchair-accessible feature.
