Why You'll Love It
Stanley's is located on the West Arm of Eagle Lake, which is a secluded and narrow, 16-mile channel that is only 1½ miles at its widest point. This stretch of Eagle Lake is home to six varieties of fish, all of them starting within sight of your cottage. Your Canadian fishing trip to Eagle Lake can't be beaten. Eagle Lake itself is 90 miles long with over 65,000 acres of water. If you do want to go exploring beyond the West Arm there is plenty of room to do so but we find it is not necessary to do so much travelling. Positioned all around the West Arm is a series of smaller portage lakes that our guests have access to via a short portage. We have placed boats, motors and gas on the other side of the short portage (10 - 65 yards). All you have to do is carry your fishing gear across.
Our cottage rentals on Eagle Lake are five-star quality cottages. All of our beds are extra long and the cottages come complete with bedding and linens. Kitchen and bath towels are changed daily. All of our cottages feature living rooms with satellite TV, 4 piece baths, automatic electric heat, sundecks, patio furniture and Weber grills. Our kitchens are fully equipped with modern electric ranges, a full complement of utensils, dishes, glasses, pots & pans. Every cottage includes an electric toaster, coffee maker and microwave. Double bowl sinks with hot and cold running water, large refrigerators with freezer compartments complete your vacation cottage. We even include extra amenities like coffee filters, garbage bags and dish soap.

- Cabin Rentals (Housekeeping): At Stanley's we offer one bedroom, two bedrooms, three bedrooms and four bedroom options.
- Outpost: Boat in to our rustic log cabin, handcrafted in the 40s for some excellent fishing right off the dock and the privacy of your own island. Our Buzzard outpost cabin is located just seconds from Buzzard Falls.
- Walleye: Luckily at Stanley's, walleye fishing starts only minutes away. With an abundance of structure within sight of the resort.
- Northern Pike: A true Canadian favourite and known for their fast hits and awesome fight, these aggressive fish are abundant in all of our waters.
- Muskie: Just think, catching up to forty muskies in your boat, using only ultralight fishing rods. It's a dream fishing trip that's well within your reach.
- Lake Trout: Try these deep water fighters. The average size of lake trout on Eagle Lake is about 6 lbs but fish over 30 lbs have been brought in.
- Moose: Our moose hunts are on Papaonga Lake Outpost starting mid-October. We have a high success rate on our moose hunts.
- Deer: We have fully guided deer hunts as well as unguided hunts. We have pre-baited stands on private land and water access to crown land.
- Black Bear: Our black bear hunts are fully guided and we have pre-baited stands. Last year's hunt was 100% opportunity, 80% success.
