The Biggest & Thickest Bass in Sunset Country!

Many people who target smallmouth bass say the Seine River Chain and Atikokan area have the biggest smallmouth bass in the Sunset Country Region. Not only length but girth - we have some of the thickest bass in Perch Lake - a testament to the excellent forage base. It's hard to argue that when big smallies range in the 5 to 6-pound range on a good day, and 7 on a great one. There's a lot of bass in the system too, providing a one-two punch for bass anglers. Walleye are also present on many parts of the system and adjacent lakes. There's nothing like catching a few walleye and frying them up for shore lunch!
