The Red Lake Community Centre serves as the central hub for recreation in Red Lake. Inside the Centre, you will find a weight room, a cardio room, squash courts, and the Best Start Hub, along with various fitness programs. During the summer, there is an outdoor basketball court, a baseball field, and a skateboard park available for use. In the winter, an outdoor skating rink is open for skating. Additionally, Centennial Park features paved pathways, perfect for a pleasant walk.

The Rat Portage Urban Trail begins at McLeod Park or Anicinabe Park and offers a scenic view mixed with the history of Kenora's "City Centre". The hiker will enjoy views of the Husky The Muskie, Goodwill Geyser, and Kenora's Harbourfront, as well as enjoy the opportunity to check out some downtown shopping & dining areas. Open all season, The Rat Portage Urban Trail is easy to moderate terrain and is about 6.5 to 8 km depending on which paths are chosen.

Raleigh Falls which is located directly off Highway 17 just west of Ignace. The falls is marked as a rest area on the highway so many are sure to miss this wonderful waterfall. Turn and go south at the rest stop sign. You soon seen some picnic tables and a place to park. Walk a short distance to Raleigh Falls which is surrounded by a lush forest. There are plenty of picnic tables alongside the waterfall. Enjoy the scenery on your break from the highway. This is truly a beautiful waterfall that many people miss by just driving by it along the Trans-Canada.

The Rainy River Recreation Center & Arena features an ice rink, dance hall, meeting room, kitchen, outdoor baseball diamond, fitness center, tennis courts, and basketball courts. The fitness center is open 24 hours a day, and key fobs/memberships can be purchased at the recreation office. The fitness center offers group fitness classes as well as provides individual fitness instruction. Rentals include arena ice floor, dance hall and meeting room, kitchen and a portable stage.
