Sioux Narrows Bridge
Located on Highway 71, the Sioux Narrows Bridge has become a symbol of this charming little town. The original wooden bridge, built in the 1930s was the longest single-span bridge in North America. Over the years the bridge became vital to the community as it improved accessibility and led to an influx of tourism. Construction of the new bridge was completed in 2007 and was necessary for safety and durability. The New bridge featuring timbers from the old bridge and a signature wooden truss appearance, preserves the look and historical significance of the town's original bridge.

Sioux Lookout Museum
The Sioux Lookout Community Museum, established July 18, 1981, offers a wonderful collection of artifacts and archives significant to the unique history of this area. Special items include pieces that are dated back to the First Nations occupation of these waterways, 4000-7000 years ago, pieces that portray the early interaction with Europeans, items such as airplane skis manufactured by the Elliot Brothers here in Sioux Lookout (who made Admiral Byrd’s skis for his famous Polar expedition), an authentic birch bark canoe, ladies garments dating from the late 1800s to the 1940s, a fine doll collection, and many pieces related to the Red Lake gold rush days, the King's visit in 1939, the completion of the Canadian National Railway (which was responsible for the establishment of Sioux Lookout as a town) and, of course, great examples of equipment used by men and women pioneers in all walks of life. After being closed for a number of years, the Sioux Lookout Museum has found a home at the Sioux Lookout Heritage Railway Station located at 53 Front Street. In addition to the physical location, you can see a digitized collection on their website.
