Camp Narrows Lodge

Why You'll Love It

At Camp Narrows Lodge we have two and three bedroom cottages overlooking Northwest Bay, on the northwest arm of Rainy Lake. Located eight miles from a private safe landing, the Narrows offers fully equipped, modern Housekeeping cabins, plus American Plan packages. Our boats are 18’ G3’s with 50 Hp Yamaha motors. (Elect. Start/tilt), 7” helix high def hummingbird graphs. We have fuel, ice, guides on request and the experience of a lifetime. Excellent smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, perch, whitefish and crappie fishing minutes from camp.

The Narrows also offers spring and fall bear hunts and fall deer, wolf, grouse, goose and duck hunting. You can experience why everyone is talking about the fishing on Rainy Lake’s north arm. We are located in the best area of the lake for all species. There is not a lake around that has the excellent fishing and the scenic beauty of Rainy Lakes, North Arm. Our catch and release policy on smallies and slot sizes on other species ensure that this year and 20 years from now, the fishing will be as good, if not better than it is now.

Key Features

  • American Plan Lodge: Camp Narrows Lodge caters full American plan packages, including corporate and group packages. With 3 meals per day or just dinners, we can design your package the way you want.
  • Cabin Rentals (Housekeeping): Camp Narrows Lodge offers you the opportunity to experience a unique outdoor fishing and hunting adventure at a boat-in resort, located in beautiful northwestern Ontario. Enjoy our unbeatable combination of first-rate accommodations and excellent fishing and hunting.
  • Walleye: Rainy Lake has turned into an incredible trophy walleye lake. The structure of the lake makes it ideal walleye habitat which consists of deep drop-offs, sunken reefs, gravel shoals and long healthy weed lines. A strict slot size continues to put Rainy as one of the best trophy lakes in North America.
  • Northern Pike: Rainy Lake’s northern pike fishing is some of the best in the world. Comparing to northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba and half the cost and travel time. Casting with crankbaits, trolling almost anything and even fly fishing for pike are very effective ways to fish.
  • Smallmouth Bass: The north arm of Rainy Lake is ideal for smallmouth fishing. There are hundreds of islands with baseball to basketball sized boulder shoals and reefs coming off of them. Large areas of cabbage and pencil weed alongside these shoals and reefs create unbeatable habitat. Crayfish, baitfish of all kinds are the main forage.
  • Crappie: Rainy Lake slab crappies are at the end of their northern range. Thanks to the great forage, slab crappies in the 10–19-inch range can be caught right in front of the resort. Fall is the best time. Jigging in the clouds of fish in 20–30-foot range. Combine it with a duck, bear or grouse hunt.
  • Black Bear: Camp Narrows Lodge offers spring or fall guided or semi-guided trophy black bear hunts. Our black bear hunting is carried out over baits. We only offer 8 bear hunts per year, guaranteeing a large annual population of trophy bears in our area.
  • Deer: Camp Narrows offers trophy whitetail deer hunts in the Rainy River District. We offer archery or gun hunting. Late Sept to mid-November. Combine with grouse, moose, wolf and fishing.
  • Grouse: Grouse hunting starts mid-September. Walk the many trails or head to the landing for some road hunting. Ruffed grouse can be combined with fishing or hunting packages.
  • Duck: Camp Narrows Lodge offers unguided or guided duck hunts. Waterfowl flock to our area to feed on the abundance of wild rice. Rice bays are all around the resort. Puddle ducks mid-September and then the divers come mid-October. That’s when the fun starts. Duck hunt morning and evening and fish or grouse hunt during the day.
  • Boat-in Access: We are located 7 miles from a safe private parking lot. Being a boat to resort, we are located where the fish are. No need for long drives each day.
  • Geese: We hunt Canada geese in our area. While duck hunting, many flocks of Canada's fly amongst the rice bays. The occasional flock of snows also land in the bays when the weather is bad.
  • Perch: 10-14-inch perch hang out with the walleyes out off the humps. New to these big ones, Rainy Lake is becoming so diverse with nice fish.
  • Moose: We now have 1 bull moose gun or archery tag for area 9B. Call for more info and we can discuss your moose hunting needs.
