You can't beat houseboating for a safe and memorable family vacation. Cruise to a sandy beach and let the children can play to their heart's content. Mother nature has given Lake of the Woods some outstanding beaches and we have marked about 80 of them for our guests. There are literally thousands of islands to explore. Water-skiing, tubing, crayfish gathering, hiking, canoeing, sunbathing and reading are just some of the activities to enjoy. All of our houseboats have water slides, which is very popular, even for the "big kids". At nighttime enjoy watching a sunset, make a campfire, roast marshmallows, tell stories or view the spectacular Northern Lights if you are lucky. For the angler, there are no more long boat trips to your favourite fishing hole. Just park your houseboat and cast off the back deck or from the fishing boat. It is easy to do when your fishing hole is nearby. A houseboat gives you the flexibility to stay at the same beach all week, or cruise to another site every day or two to explore a new location.
