Fish Gullrock Lake Near Red Lake, Ontario

Gullrock Lake surface area is 16,707 acres and is part of a chain of five lakes. Red Lake is the headwaters of this system, water flows into Keg Lake, then Gullrock Lake. Ranger Lake & Gullrock Lake flow into Two Island Lake. The system then enters the Chukuni River & English River systems. The route was used by the early fur traders & gold prospectors.

Fishing Gullrock Lake

Gullrock Lake is primarily a walleye lake but does offer excellent northern pike, sauger, yellow perch & whitefish fishing. The lake has a varied structured bottom, from rocky points, sand bars, mud bottom, gravel beds, sunken islands, to many weedy bays. The perfect fish habitat. To preserve the high quality of fishing on the Gullrock Chain of Lakes, the policy of the Gullrock Camp Owners Association is that any walleye over 18" or any northern pike over the maximum slot size of 35.4" be released unharmed immediately. No oversized fish can be cleaned to eat.
