Rich in history, the town centre is the site of a legendary battle between the invading Sioux and the local Cree and Ojibway. Famously known as a sportsman’s paradise, some of the finest freshwater fishing in Sunset Country can be found here. The crystal clear waterways are haven for walleye, northern pike, muskie, smallmouth and largemouth bass and lake trout.

Enjoy scenic hikes through our woods' rich with nature, a round of golf on our 9-hole golf course, or some fine dining and shopping in many of our community’s gift stores and boutiques. Our rugged boreal forest, nestled within the Canadian Shield, is abundant with deer, bear, moose and duck to test the most avid of hunters.
