Evergreen Skating Rink
The Evergreen Community Rink features two outdoor rinks: one smaller, which is a safe spot to skate, and a larger one, which is usually occupied by a game of hockey and a heated clubhouse. This makes it the perfect place to enjoy a game of outdoor hockey with your friends or a weekend skate with the family.
Lappe Nordic Ski Centre
Lappe Nordic Ski Club is a family-friendly, volunteer-based ski club focused on recreation, fitness, skill development, and racing. We offer programs for all levels, from the 4+ Bunny to the 50+ Master. Lappe Nordic Ski Club has a program for you whether you are a novice, an intermediate, or a racing skier.
Sunset Trail Riders Snowmobile Club
The Sunset Trail Riders was established by a number of dedicated snowmobiling enthusiasts in the late 1980s. A few years later, the STR joined up with the Provincial club, The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs. The Sunset Trail Riders groom over 500 kms of trails in the Kenora region and towards the Ontario/Manitoba border.
Mount Evergreen Ski & Recreation Area
The Mount Evergreen Ski Club in Kenora has a lot to offer. Operating since 1946, the Club is well run and the hills are well groomed. It has many runs including 5 black diamond runs, a Terrain Park, a tubing hill and even has a Magic Carpet lift for the little ones or beginners. There are over 20 kms of beautiful cross country ski trails that offer both classic and skate skiers the chance to experience the magnificent Canadian Boreal Forest. All trails are groomed for classic skiing and almost 7 km of trails also accommodate skate skiing. The chalet is a great place to warm up, take a break and have a bite to eat. Ski rentals are also available.
Pronger Park
Pronger Park is a beautiful private location where you can spend the day in the shade of the many trees in the area. Offering a large green space it is perfect for a family gathering or catching up with friends. The park also features a playground, as well as biking, hiking, ski and snowshoe trails. The park is pet-friendly, with lots of room to play with your dog. Washrooms and waste bins are also available.
Mink Bay Trail
The Mink Bay Trail is located in the Keewatin area and offers a trail system with a view of Mink Bay Wetlands, Portage Bay and Lake of the Woods. The trail includes a grassy and well-worn forest trail, coupled with sidewalks and green spaces through Keewatin’s business district The Mink Bay trail is just over four kilometres of easy to moderate trails (with alternate routes moderate to high difficulty) ideal for hiking, biking, skiing and snowshoeing.
Atikokan Sno-Ho Snowmobile Club
The Atikokan Sno-Ho Snowmobile Club was started in 1967 for the purpose of encouraging winter activities through the use of snowmobiles within the community. In 1984 the club became incorporated as a non-profit organization and became a member of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs. This volunteer board is responsible for over 500 kilometers of trail including a section of the Provincial A Trail. The Sno-Ho holds many events during the year for its 200 club members. Member benefits include organized trail rides, poker derby’s, potluck suppers and periodic newsletters. Everyone who purchases an OFSC season trail permit from the Sno-Ho automatically becomes a club member.
Rainy Lake Nordic Ski Club
The Rainy Lake Nordic Ski Club trails are located in Northwestern Ontario just outside of Fort Frances and are open to the public. The trails cover 15 km of groomed skate & classic tracks and 5 Km of snowshoe trails.

The Beaten Path Nordic Trails has a trail for everyone. Families with small children can ski for an hour on one of the easier trail loops, or an extreme skier can enjoy an all-day adventure on one of the larger loops. There so many connecting trails to choose from, including sections of the Trans-Canada Trail. Skiing at Atikokans Nordic Trails is a must for every skiing enthusiast. Series of trails include: Kemuel Loop - 4.6km Beaver Lake Loop - 6km Jack Rabbit - 4.5km Rabid Fox Run- 3.4km Timber Wolf Loop - 8.7km Moose Loop - 4.5km Nordic Loop - 10.5km North Trans Canada Loop - 7.9km Trans Canada Trail (Nym Lake Segment) - 3.8km
