    The Red Lake Community Centre serves as the central hub for recreation in Red Lake. Inside the Centre, you will find a weight room, a cardio room, squash courts, and the Best Start Hub, along with various fitness programs. During the summer, there is an outdoor basketball court, a baseball field, and a skateboard park available for use. In the winter, an outdoor skating rink is open for skating. Additionally, Centennial Park features paved pathways, perfect for a pleasant walk.

    Frank Charry Park

    Frank Charry Park is a charming neighborhood park nestled off Pacific Avenue, bordered by McBain and Hargrave Streets. Spanning approximately 3.4 acres, this inviting green space has been a cherished part of the community since its acquisition in 1947, originally named East End Park before being dedicated as Frank Charry Park in 1975. The park boasts a variety of features that cater to both recreational activities and leisurely family outings. During the winter months, visitors can enjoy a well-maintained ice rink, perfect for skating and winter fun. A rustic wooden storage house adds character to the park's scenery. Families with young children will find a delightful playground equipped with two sets of swings, a cheerful see-saw, an exhilarating slide, and a refreshing wading pool for warm days. For sports enthusiasts, the park includes a turf and asphalt basketball court, ideal for pickup games, as well as a baseball diamond complete with a sturdy backstop, providing ample opportunities for athletic enjoyment. Frank Charry Park truly offers a diverse array of amenities for people of all ages to enjoy the outdoors.

    Ignace Recreation Complex

    The Ice Arena welcomes residents throughout the winter months, providing a vibrant hub for those who love hockey, figure skating, or leisurely open skating sessions. The lively atmosphere invites everyone to glide across the ice, whether you’re a seasoned skater or just looking to have fun. Each July, the esteemed Fox School of Hockey hosts immersive hockey development programs that cater to boys and girls of all skill levels. These programs focus on skill enhancement and teamwork, ensuring that participants leave with improved techniques and a passion for the sport. Additionally, the Arena, complemented by its spacious attached hall, serves as the perfect venue for a variety of events.     8th Street Walking and Ski Trail

    Take a relaxing stroll, a hike, snowshoe or cross-country skiing in some of Fort France’s more natural beauty. These trails cut through clearings and wooded areas in north Fort Frances, offering some very scenic views. Make sure to watch out for the woodcarvings and other handmade pieces donated by local artisans to the trails.

    Lone Pine Rink

    The Lone Pine Rink is an outdoor skating rink run by volunteers. Come on out during the winter months for some hockey, figure skating or just for a fun skate. The rink is located off Larson Street.
