Situated right next to one of Northern Ontario’s natural wonders is the town of Kakabeka Falls. Located right off the Highway in town, Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park has a full viewing deck where you can see the falls of the Kaministiqua River drop over 90 feet into a gorge. The view is especially spectacular during the spring runoff.
The town itself has all the services and accommodations you need including few full-service hotels, service stations, and some great gift shops. There are some resorts on the surrounding lakes such as beautiful Lake Weikwabinonaw. The lake encompasses a 45-mile perimeter and covers and an area of over 3,300 acres.
You can also camp at the Kakabeka Falls Park. Kakabeka Falls offers tent and car camping in three campgrounds: Whispering Hills, Riverside and Fern’s Edge.
