Armstrong Lodges and Fly-in Outposts
Many of the lodges and resorts in the Armstrong area are fly-in lodges and outpost cabins. You can either drive north of Thunder Bay on Highway 527 and fly out of Armstrong, Ontario, or some lodges fly directly out of Thunder Bay. Wabakimi Park is located near Armstrong and some of the camps are in the Park's boundaries. You'll love the solitude of the area - its mostly forest and lakes - loaded with remarkable trophy fish.
There are fly-in outposts on the Albany and Ogoki Rivers, Almos, Auger, Bellsmith, D'Alton, Dawn, Funger, Guerin, Kagianagami, Mattice, Mojikit, Makokibatan, Moonshine, Musgrave, Ogoki, Ogoki Reservoir, Pringle, Shab, Short, Vick, Weese, Whitewater, and Zigzag Lakes and more. Fly-in lodges can be found on lakes such as Makokibatan, Miminiska, Mojikit Channel, Smoothrock, and Whitewater.
