Other fishing options could include a day on one of the nearby lakes offering the opportunity to catch lunker lake trout or trophy brook trout. Take a portage across Talking Falls for a remote secluded day of fabulous walleye fishing at Sowden Lake Falls or on the scenic Gulliver River.
Cozy Camp is only 3.5 hours from the U.S. border. Our guests enjoy paved roads right to our camp, only 20 miles north of Ignace on Highway 599. Being the only resort on 32 miles of waterways preserves the pristine beauty of this spectacular wilderness setting. Our fully outfitted newer 16' Lund boats with 15 h.p. motors provide you with the comfort and reliability for a full day of fabulous fishing. To ensure that, we offer you a complimentary tour of the river and a map marking the "hot spots" to fish. Clean modern fish cleaning facilities with electricity and water as well as freezer space are provided for your use. For your convenience on-site we have live bait, tackle, gas, and ice. For customers who choose to bring their own boats, a concrete boat ramp is available. Our modern waterfront housekeeping cabins provide everything that you need including bed linens. The serviced R.V. campsites are also situated with an awesome view of the gently flowing English River.
Our area in Northwestern Ontario offers exceptional opportunities for hunting black bear, moose, waterfowl, and grouse. Whether you rent one of our cozy cabins or an R.V. site, our customer's satisfaction is our first priority! This truly is "North of the Tension Zone!"

- Brook Trout: Brook trout are also known as the speckled trout and are definitely the best tasting.
- Moose: We supply accommodations in our warm cozy cabins for resident moose hunters with their own tags.
- Black Bear: Experience the adrenaline rush as your eyes focus on the big black bear entering your baited post.
- Duck: The English River offers excellent opportunities for some terrific wing shooting!
- Grouse: The ruffed and spruce grouse are plentiful. It will not be hard to fill your limit each day.
