Young’s Wilderness Camp is a traditional fishing and hunting resort that best suits those looking for a quiet getaway. We are on a 5.5 acre private island in Stevens Bay on the southeastern side of Lake of the Woods in Ontario featuring fully serviced waterfront cabins, shuttle and dock service, a high-quality fleet of rentals, all-inclusive American Plan and Housekeeping packages, a resident massage therapist, and much more.
Just an hour from International Falls, 5 miles from town, and a 2 mile boat ride from our private landing, we’re remote enough to feel like a fly-in but well situated for trophy muskie, northern, walleye, bass, crappie, perch and lake trout. We also have a fly-in outpost cabin which is a 20-minute flight from Nestor Falls to the eastern side of Kishkutena Lake for muskie, bass and lake trout.
Hunters will find abundant deer, ducks and grouse on both the mainland and on many islands within a few minutes of the resort. Hunting season is also great for fishing so we encourage hunters to bring fishing gear.
For anyone who just wants to escape from a busy lifestyle, you can also hike, take a canoe ride or find a natural beach and go swimming. The possibilities are endless.

- American Plan Lodge: Young’s Wilderness Camp offers a variety of American Plan packages that include modern cabins, homemade meals, roomy deluxe boats and experienced guides.
- Cabin Rentals (Housekeeping): Young’s Wilderness Camp has two housekeeping cabins that are equipped with all you will need for this do-it-yourself package.

- Walleye: Stevens Bay is an excellent spawning ground for all species and walleye are no exception. Catch a few in the morning and enjoy them for your shore lunch.
- Northern Pike: Lake of the Woods is known for its northern pike and the pike are plentiful in this area with extensive weed beds located throughout Stevens Bay.
- Muskie: Muskie anglers know that Lake of the Woods is trophy muskie fishing is at its best.
- Lake Trout: If lake trout fishing is what you would like, the deeper waters of Lake of the Woods or Crow Lake are just a short boat ride away.
- Smallmouth Bass: The great smallmouth population is supported by all the shallow bays, rocky shorelines and baitfish of Stevens Bay.
- Crappie: Crappies are so numerous from late May until early June they can be caught in great numbers right from our dock. Crappies are great to eat too.
- Largemouth Bass: Largemouth bass fishing is not as well-known on Lake of the Woods as smallmouth fishing but the numbers and popularity are increasing.
- Duck: Stevens Bay is composed of countless small bays and ponds sufficiently shallow to provide a perfect environment for duck habitat.
- Grouse: If grouse is your interest, walk through the woods where grouse can be found on the old logging roads or hundreds of islands that surround us.
- Geese: Greater Canada, Lesser Canada, and Snow geese can be found among the breathtaking beauty of the islands and mainland.
