Experience exceptional catch and release angling for largemouth & smallmouth bass, lake trout, muskie, pike and walleye in a pristine wilderness setting. Slippery Winds is a full-service, American Plan lodge that is located in a sheltered bay on Yoke Lake; a short floatplane hop north of Fort Frances. With access to six lakes via boat portages and a maximum capacity of 18 people, our guests are never crowded.
In addition to the great fishing, our guests can enjoy the peace, tranquillity, solitude and unique beauty of our area. Slippery Winds accommodates up to 18 guests in five fully-modern, private guest cabins that are equipped with electric lights, Hudson Bay blankets, propane heat, fridges and bathrooms with showers. The main lodge features a comfortable guest dining room where guests enjoy delicious hearty home-cooked meals! The lounge, complete with a stone fireplace, offers a cozy relaxed atmosphere for guests to gather for an after-dinner drink or just to share camaraderie and swap fish stories.
