Hanson's King Island Lodge
Why You'll Love It
King Island Lodge is located in the heart of Sabaskong Bay, Lake of the Woods, a 12-mile scenic boat ride from Nestor Falls or 9 miles from Morson. Eight comfortable cottages circle the perimeter of the island. We offer both Housekeeping and modified American Plan options. The cottages are fully equipped for you to prepare your meals, or you can choose our modified American Plan option and have dinners with us in the lodge. Boat rentals are available, as are customized packages. Our small beach offers a place to play; we also offer kayaks and paddle boards as an alternative way to experience the area. Whether you are focused on being close to the fishing action or looking to enjoy some family fun in a unique setting, Kind Island Lodge offers you both!
King Island Lodge was founded in 1926 and is one of the original fishing camps in the area. It continues to be operated today by the same family that founded it almost a century ago. We pride ourselves in providing clean, quality accommodations, a safe, comfortable environment and a tradition that goes back for generations. Multi-species angling, world-class muskie fishing, delicious shorelunches, and peaceful island sunsets continue to inspire new generations of visitors.
