Enjoy the beauty of a wilderness setting with all the comforts of home. Come see our fully modern and comfortable cabins that can accommodate 2 to 6 people or as many as 8 to 10 in our large 4 bedroom cottage. All of our modern cabins have microwaves, propane or electric heat, electricity, hot & cold running water and a private bathroom with basin, shower, tubs and flush toilet. We are big enough to have all the comforts of home but small enough to give you personalized hospitality and service with either our Housekeeping or American Plan packages.
The fishing here at Big North Lodge is excellent for walleye, northern pike, bass, and muskie throughout the season, from May to October. You can fish Gun Lake or the Winnipeg River System right from the beautiful cedar main lodge. Or enjoy true solitude and fantastic fishing on Long or Roger Lake on the Sturgeon River System. Big North Lodge also offers deer, moose, black bear, and wolf hunting in the fall.

- American Plan Lodge: American Plan guests enjoy the comforts of home to relax in. Daily maid service is provided with delicious home cooked meals served in the lodge dining room.
- Cabin Rentals (Housekeeping): The Housekeeping cabins have spacious, fully equipped kitchens. Each cottage also has a propane BBQ in the screened porch. All linens supplied.
- Outpost: Choose your next fishing trip at our Roger Lake or Long Lake Outposts on the uninhabited Sturgeon River, which abounds with trophy pike and walleye.
- Walleye: Your fishing trip to our resort on the Winnipeg River System offers you fantastic walleye fishing in numerous lakes such as Gun or Big & Little Sand Lakes.
- Northern Pike: Northern pike can be found right at the lodge on Gun Lake, the Winnipeg River or English River Systems. Our Roger & Long Lake Outposts feature excellent pike fishing as well.
- Muskie: You can fish for the elusive muskie in the Winnipeg River plus Big Sand, Little Sand, Rough Rock, & Gun Lake can be reached by boat without portaging.
- Smallmouth Bass: Our fly-in outpost on Roger Lake features some of the finest smallmouth bass fishing found in Northwestern Ontario.
- Black Bear: You can hunt over 300 square miles of prime black bear country with over 50 baited tree stands, accessible by road, water or ATV in Minaki. Our success rate the last 7 years has been over 80%.
- Moose: Take your next moose hunt with Big North Lodge & Outposts, in the heart of moose country. The hunt takes place at our Roger Lake Outpost.
- Deer: The Minaki area of Northwestern Ontario is on the northern edge of the deer range. Canadian whitetail deer hunting is very popular in our area as the deer are very large-bodied and fast-growing. Bucks that score in the 140's are fairly common.
