Here at Hal's Outposts, we offer fly-in fishing at its greatest on Loonhaunt Lake as well as great boat-in fishing on Esox Lake. We fly out of Fort Frances, ON. YOUR NEXT GREATEST ADVENTURE IN LIFE BEGINS HERE!
We have good walleye, bass, northern pike and lake trout fishing at our Loonhaunt Lake outpost. The cabin was built from the ground up in 2017 by Hal himself, who is an accomplished angler, guide and trapper. The cabin is set up with eco-friendly hot and cold running water, shower and lights with solar power. Your own little piece of heaven on earth is here at the only cabin on Tompkins Island. You can fish, swim and explore to your heart's content. All you need is your fishing gear, personal flotation device and food, the rest we provide. The cabin is outfitted with new bedding and towels. The outpost also has newer 16-foot Lunds to add to your adventure and new fish cleaning shed. Come and stay you will be happy you chose our outpost.
NEW: Our boat-in outpost on Esox Lake is newly built in 2021. It is a short 30 km drive up Highway 502, then 30 km down the Cedar Narrows Road to the landing, and a short boat ride to the cabin. This outpost has superior muskie, lake trout, smallmouth bass and northerns. It is the only outpost on the lake.
