Vermilion Bay Inukshuk

Located along the Trans Canada Highway in Vermilion Bay, Bobby's Inukshuk named "Pathfinder" welcomes all travellers. There are picnic tables near the Inukshuk if you'd like to sit down and have a bite to eat. If you'd like to pick up a snack, Bobby's Corner is right next door where you can get a cup of coffee or something to snack on. The Inukshuk or Inuksuk (pronounced IN-OOK-SHOOK) meaning "in the image of man" are magnificent lifelike figures of stone which were erected by the Inuit people and are unique to the Canadian Arctic.

Van Horne Waterfront Park

The Van Horne Waterfront Park is situated at the end of Van Horne Avenue on the shores of Wabigoon Lake. There is a boat launch, green space, picnic table and restroom. The Laura Howe Marsh Conservation Area is just up the street from the park.

Raleigh Falls

Raleigh Falls which is located directly off Highway 17 just west of Ignace. The falls is marked as a rest area on the highway so many are sure to miss this wonderful waterfall. Turn and go south at the rest stop sign. You soon seen some picnic tables and a place to park. Walk a short distance to Raleigh Falls which is surrounded by a lush forest. There are plenty of picnic tables alongside the waterfall. Enjoy the scenery on your break from the highway. This is truly a beautiful waterfall that many people miss by just driving by it along the Trans-Canada.

Pioneer Park

Small park with picnic area located 1km before Sioux Narrows Bridge.

Lion's Club & Emo Spray Park

Lions Club Park is located on the shores of Rainy River. Here you will find a playground with swings, picnic area and the enjoyable Emo Spray Park. Also available on site is a boat launch to Rainy River.

Legion Park

Legion Park is surrounded by Oak and polar trees of this scenic playground. Equipment includes slides, swings, and monkey bars. Also available is a covered picnic area and washrooms.

Johnston Park

Johnstons Park is located behind Chalet Inn Motel on the Wabigoon River. The park offers a picnic area, a beautiful Mosaic structure, and walking trails which lead to the Roy Wilson Suspension Bridge.

Jackfish Lake Rest Area

The Jackfish Lake Rest Area is on the shores of Jackfish Lake roughly halfway between Dinorwic and Borups Corner. There are restrooms, picnic tables and a covered area with picnic tables. It also has a long grassy area where your children or pets can get out and play. Walk to the lake and enjoy the view.

Ear Falls Sportsplex

Ear Falls Sportsplex is an outdoor recreation area with two baseball diamonds, year round washrooms, a covered picnic/barbeque area and a lighted tobogganing hill.

Eagle Park

Eagle Park offers a green-space for a nice Picnic or sit on one of the benches provided.
