Boulevard Lake Park and Trails
Boulevard Lake features a paved 3.2 mile (5.3 km) loop trail that trails around the perimeter of the beautiful lake providing exceptional scenic views. The Lake is in the middle of 650 acres of park area that includes an 18 hole disc golf course, beaches, concession area, mini-putt, paddleboat and canoe rentals, playground equipment, picnic areas and restrooms Leashed dogs allowed.
Boreal Trail

Conversely, the long loop presents a greater challenge, with its diverse terrain, steep inclines, and longer distance demanding more endurance and skill from hikers. 8th Street Walking and Ski Trail
Take a relaxing stroll, a hike, snowshoe or cross-country skiing in some of Fort France’s more natural beauty. These trails cut through clearings and wooded areas in north Fort Frances, offering some very scenic views. Make sure to watch out for the woodcarvings and other handmade pieces donated by local artisans to the trails.
Lappe Nordic Ski Centre
Lappe Nordic Ski Club is a family-friendly, volunteer-based ski club focused on recreation, fitness, skill development, and racing. We offer programs for all levels, from the 4+ Bunny to the 50+ Master. Lappe Nordic Ski Club has a program for you whether you are a novice, an intermediate, or a racing skier.
Tunnel Island Trail
Tunnel Island Trail (Wass’say’Gaa’Boo) is located at a traditional gathering place with 8000 years of history. The trail offers a lesson in history, great scenery, and a chance to see local wildlife. Walk along the Winnipeg River and take a look at the Norman Dam. The trail is pet-friendly and the dogs are sure to enjoy a dip in the lake to cool off. There are many trails and loops to choose from. You can hike these trails year-round, but be aware that in the winter there are some slippery slopes. Terrain is moderate to high.
Bowman Electric Keewatin Memorial Arena
The Bowman Electric Keewatin Memorial Arena features a year-round ice rink, with access to a public boat launch and docking. The facility offers summer ice programs as well as a variety of hockey tournaments and winter skating programs. Nearby you can find access to a skateboard park, tennis courts, baseball diamonds and walking trails.
