The resort property of Fireside Lodge is located in a secluded bay on Little Vermilion Lake. The season of operation is May through September. The cabins, spacious, and exceptionally well maintained, provide modern comfort in the wilderness of the Boreal Forest. A fully appointed kitchen in every cabin provides an independent stay for a peaceful getaway. The fishing, and catching, is phenomenal and the serene atmosphere is the escape that you need.
We have owned Fireside Lodge for 33 years with a passion for the wilderness and for our guest’s utmost satisfaction. - American Plan Lodge: Our American Plan package ensures you have plenty of time for fishing and relaxation while we take care of everything else for you!
- Cabin Rentals (Housekeeping): With our housekeeping package, all you have to worry about is cooking your own meals, we take care of everything else.
- Northern Pike: Little Vermilion Lake is known for its large-bodied northern pike. Because of its cold deep water and excellent forage, they grow rapidly and develop a healthy body.
- Muskie: Six of our lakes have great muskie fishing. Maskinonge, Hooch and Cloudlet Lakes are referred to as muskie sanctuaries. They are connected to Little Vermilion Lake.
- Smallmouth Bass: Smallmouth bass are caught and released in large numbers throughout the year. Often, 3-4 lb smallies are caught and 4-5 pounders are not uncommon.
