Bear Claw Wilderness Camp

Why You'll Love It

Welcome to Bear Claw Wilderness Camp, located just north of Perrault Falls, Ontario, just a 12-mile boat ride away on Wabaskang Lake. Our camp has eight modern housekeeping cabins. As a boat-in camp, we offer the best of both worlds in terms of providing a remote fishing destination where you can experience excellent fishing without the costs and restrictions associated with a fly-in trip.

The camp is located on a rocky point overlooking the narrows to the east, where you will enjoy some of the most beautiful sunrises you can imagine. In the evenings, relax with the beauty of the Canadian wilderness all around you. Fall asleep after a great day fishing to the haunting call of the loons as they echo across the lake. Wabaskang Lake is well known for its excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, jumbo perch and whitefish. Our guests enjoy excellent fishing for all these species from within a 10-minute boat ride from camp. The camp is the only camp on the north end of the lake with the closest camp approximately 10 miles away.

The fish cleaning station is screened-in for your comfort, has two sinks with running water and fish pans to take your catch to your cabin and is one of the cleanest in all of Northwestern Ontario. Your catch for the day can be cleaned, packaged and frozen in the on-site freezer all in one building. During your stay at Bear Claw Wilderness Camp, you will enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the camp, excellent fishing, cleanliness of the camp, equipment & accommodations and, of course, the scenery.
